i was wondering if you will post a recipe for Eun Dae Gu Jorim. i love the one they serve in Koreatown in Los Angeles at a restaurant called MaPo, except they continue to raise the price since it is such a popular dish! Hi Maangchi! I would also like to put in a request for eun dae gu jorim. I loooove this dish, didn’t know about it until my parents came to visit once and ordered it. I’m not a big fish stew person, but this is really so different and delicious. Everyone I’ve introduced to it has been surprised and addicted too.
Thank you! You’ve really inspired me to get cooking~

Another request for this recipe pleeeeease! I had this recently at a local Korean restaurant and it was fabulous, but cost $27! I would love to know how to make it on my own, since I already have so many Korean ingredients. Thank you sooooo much for considering this one.

Here is a recipe that you can try while waiting for Maangchi’s recipe.
Eun Dae Gu Jorim
1/2 small korean radish, cut into strips
1 black cod
1/4 green bell pepper
1/4 red bell pepper
1/2 zucchini
1/2 onion
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1/2 package firm tofu
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoon red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon red pepper paste
1/3 cup water
2 tablespoon sugar
4 green onion, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
Cut the korean radish and place on bottom of pot and put the fish on top of it. Cut peppers, onion, tofu, garlic and place on top of the fish. Add soy sauce, pepper flakes, pepper paste, sugar and water. Cover the pot with the lid and bring to a boil, then lower heat to low and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Do not open lid while cooking. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds just before serving.
